Golden hour has a way of making a familiar landscape feel completely different for a few minutes. I photographed this one in the Monongahela National Forest when the light did exactly that,softening the woods and turning an ordinary moment into one worth keeping.

Sometimes it isn’t a dramatic overlook or a huge waterfall that catches me,it’s the way water moves through a patch of green. Emerald Flow came from one of those quieter moments in Parker, Pennsylvania, where the color and movement were enough to make me stop.
